The requirement for subcontract inspection is more than getting results reported.
Of any Process
Failure
Modes Effects
Analysis – it is found
that a failure in an inspection process has a high severity rating
because its effects are instant and costly.
Production is affected immediately.
Parts unable to progress to the next operation without inspection affect production plans.
If a delay occurs at final inspection, there is less opportunity to absorb the impact within the remaining process therefore shipments are directly affected.
Delivering possibilities
Because of the effects an
inspection problem can cause, The aim to give an immediate
decision regarding the feasibility of an enquiry. This is
normally at the point of enquiry.
Initial enquiries can be processed quickly with established data.
Information
that can be processed now will reduce delays at the time of
quoting.
Delivering solutions
The ability to quote
quickly and accurately is fundamental to providing a project on cost
and on target. The benefits are mutual; the customer is able to
confidently start a recovery plan and TMS have a controlled cost.
We fully understand the impact subcontract inspection has within a
process. We are committed to delivering a reliable service.
Delivering Support
Absenteeism when planned
can normally be managed internally with overtime and slight increase
in labour costs. Unplanned absenteeism however has very similar
affects as those listed above. Response from us to such enquiries
can be as simple as putting a man onsite providing an instant
solution.
Delivering Training
Employment of a new
operator may generate the need for additional training. In some
cases an existing operator may need assistance to measure an
unfamiliar part Training can take place at customer premises using
readily available parts and cooperation with production planners
will allow us provide valuable “on the job training”. However, to
support customers that do not have capacity for a training course to
take place utilising the CMM we also offer courses at both Derby and
Telford. In all cases the course can be designed to meet specific
requirements.
